Location
TheaterWorks is located at 233 Pearl Street in downtown Hartford (near the corner of Ann & Pearl).
Directions
I-91 heading South (from Massachusetts and points north)
State Street
Exit (#31 in Hartford) At the end
of the exit you will be at Columbus Boulevard. Cross
Columbus Boulevard and get in center
lane of traffic - this is State Street,
which zigzags a bit. When you cross Main
Street, State Street becomes Pearl
Street. Staying on Pearl Street, cross
through one large intersection, then the theater
is about 50 yards further on the left, just
before another intersection which is Ann
Street.
I-91 heading North (from New York and the Connecticut shoreline)
Capitol Area
Exit (#29A left exit in Hartford) This
puts you on an extension of the highway. At the
end
of this extension you will enter a traffic circle.
Take the first right off the circle -
the road then curves left around a large park -
you will also pass Vito's Restaurant on your right.
Just after passing in front of Vito's Restaurant
you'll come to a traffic light intersection. Turn
right onto Trumbull Street. At
the next traffic light, turn left onto Pearl
Street. The theater is about 50 yards
further on the left, just before another intersection,
which is Ann Street.
I-84 heading East (from West Hartford, Litchfield County, Fairfield County)
Asylum Street
/ Capitol Avenue Exit (Exit #48A
- Asylum Ave) At
the end of the ramp turn right onto Asylum
Street (you
will pass under a train trestle). Immediately after
you pass under the train trestle you'll come to
a traffic light - continue straight. Another 25
yards further, you'll come to another traffic light,
after which the road curves sharply to the right
- get in the far left lane. This is a left turn only lane
for Pearl Street. After you turn
left onto Pearl Street you'll
pass a fire station on the right. Cross through
the first intersection which is Ann Street and
the theater is on the right.
I-84 heading West (from East Hartford, Tolland County, Boston)
Rt 2 West- Downtown
Hartford Exit (left exit #54) This exit
puts you on a bridge. After you cross the bridge
you will
be at Columbus Boulevard. Cross
Columbus Boulevard and get in center lane
of traffic - this is State Street, which zigzags
a bit. When you cross Main Street,
State Street becomes Pearl Street.

Parking
Discounted parking is available in the Goodwin Square Garage - less than a half block from the theater.
Directions to Goodwin Square Garage: TheaterWorks is near the corner of Ann and Pearl Streets. From Pearl Street turn north onto Ann Street. The entrance to the garage is 20 yards north of the intersection on the right.
You can also park FREE on the street in downtown Hartford after 6 p.m., however during the day - even on weekends - you need to feed the meters.
